I was just notified by Oxford that a college other than the one I was originally accepted to has offered me a scholarship (in fact, one I never even applied to). The new scholarship doesn’t actually change what I get, it just means I’m getting two scholarships now, instead of one, but the total sum remains the same. It also means I’m switching from Balliol to Brasenose (it’s for the best - I never really knew how to pronounce Balliol anyway). I’m not entirely sure how big of a difference this will be, and I’m not upset. Just surprised! Anyway, Brasenose has an online tour which is kind of neat here.

Some more photos and a video have been making it around the net. Here I am safe from all cars with my amazing glow jacket - and if the jacket doesn’t protect me, Jesus, with a beer, beside me will! There’s also video below.

So I went on a bike ride last Saturday with a bunch of people (35+) here in London. We started off at the top of Brick Lane with of a couple of beigels (that’s how they spell it here) and ended in the big common in the centre of Cambridge with a few boxes of beer and the lovely sunshine. Photos and video below!
